Sevigny Wants a ‘Spider-Man 3’ Role

Chloe Sevigny is out pumping up her new film, Woody Allen’s Melinda and Melinda, which opens on a limited basis tomorrow and while doing the press rounds she let loose some possible Spider-Man 3 info as she may be up for a part in the flick.

The news comes from the New York Daily News where Sevigny was quoted as saying, “I’d love to be in ‘Spider-Man 3! There’s a villain in it who’s a blond, buxom girl, and I’m trying to get it!

“That [may] surprise people, since actors are always thought of as their last film or who they were. I think I’ll always be drawn to films more difficult to watch, but I don’t want to be a snobby cinephile.”

Who could this sexy seductress that Sevigny is describing be?

Well, after doing a little searching I came across one such description and was Black Cat, a.k.a. Felicia Hardy.

Black Cat made her first appearance in the Amazing Spider-Man comics and was known as a bit of a burglar, and her “special power” was a seeming sense of passing on bad luck by rigging certain situations to give off the seeming sense of bad luck for those trying to catch her.

Obviously, these wrong deeds attracted the attention of Spider-Man who became her principal opponent who ultimately became partners with the webbed one after being caught and imprisoned.

The story goes on and on as did the comics, but this is just rumor for now, but with the “cat” out of the bag this rumor will most likely be confirmed or denied sometime soon.
