‘Shrek 4’ Scribe Already Hired

Shrek 3 is just now nearing pre-production but DreamWorks apparently doesn’t want a long delay between films three and four as they have already tapped Tim Sullivan to write Shrek 4.

There isn’t any risk really with the optimism shown in the move considering Shrek 2 pulled in $436+ million domestically and Shrek 3 can only be considered a hit before a single cell of animation is plotted.

The Shrek franchise has shown no sign of slowing as work is already underway on a “Puss in Boots” spinoff with David H. Steinberg penning that script.

Shrek 3 is currently eyeing a May 2007 release with Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas already on to voice the signature characters.
