Packed with a who’s who of hip-hop superstars, the soundtrack for “Barbershop 2: Back in Business” hits the streets on February 3, 2004. The 15-cut ST has already spawned one hit single in “Not Today,” by Grammy winner Mary J. Blige featuring Eve, the platinum-selling megastar/Grammy winner who is one of the film’s stars. “Not Today,” produced by Dr. Dre, was #1 most added at urban, crossover and top 40 radio, bolstered by extensive video airplay, press coverage and live TV performances, including 2003’s Victoria’s Secret CBS Special, the Vibe Awards and the Thanksgiving Day NFL Halftime show. Two other singles from the ST are also blowing up: “I Can’t Wait,” by Sleepy Brown featuring Outkast, and a slick version of Luther Vandross’ “Never” by breakout artist Keyshia Cole featuring Eve. Other highlights include a brand-new track by G-Unit, the booming “Unconditionally,” and a rowdy remix of “Fallen,” by Mya featuring Chingy.

The hugely successful first soundtrack and film, “Barbershop,” were released in September, 2002, the movie hitting #1 at the box office several weeks in a row. The buzz for “Barbershop 2” is even louder than its predecessor. The highly anticipated soundtrack for this razor-sharp comedy also includes a sexy cover of the Ashford and Simpson-penned mega-hit “Your Precious Love” done by Avant and Keke Wyatt, Mobb Deep’s “One of Ours” and “Wanna B Where U R (Thisizzaluvsong)” by Floetry featuring Mos Def.

The soundtrack for “Barbershop 2: Back in Business” lands on February 3, while the MGM Pictures movie opens February 6. The crew is back in “Barbershop 2: Back in Business,” a sequel to the original comedy smash hit. Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Sean Patrick Thomas, Eve, Troy Garity, Michael Ealy, and Leonard Earl Howze — they’re all still there in Calvin’s shop, this time with Queen Latifah joining the fun as Gina, a stylist at the beauty shop next door. They’re cutting hair, creating a sense of community, having their signature Barbershop discussions — outrageous, explosive and hilarious. The world changes, but some things never got out of style — you can still say anything you want at the barbershop.

The “Barbershop 2: Back In Business” Soundtrack is both the perfect complement to the film and a stellar stand-alone, the CD’s musical star-power also including production by the Neptunes; the title track, “Barbershop,” by D-12; as well as the memorable track “All” by Interscope’s Olivia, produced by Lil Jon.
