20th Century Fox has announced an open casting call for the studio’s new comedy based on the best-selling book “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” The details:
WHO:
– Young males, ages 11-14 only.
– Successful candidates must be able to handle dialog and have a flair for ironic comedy.
– All candidates should bring a current photo and snapshot, which will not be returned.
– All candidates must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
WHAT:
The best-selling illustrated novel “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” by Jeff Kinney, chronicles the adventures of wise-cracking middle school student Greg Heffley over the course of an academic year, as told through Kinney’s cartoons. The filmmakers are seeking a bright, precocious and appealing young actor to portray the title character ‘Greg Heffley’ in a movie based on this novel.
