Lionsgate Adapting Millis’ God and California

Before selling the book, author and cartoonist Chris Millis has sold screenplay rights to his novel “God and California” to Lionsgate, reports Variety.

Millis will adapt the story of an Iraq war vet and a disgraced Catholic priest who travel from New York to California in a pink 1975 El Dorado in a week, breaking the Ten Commandments one by one.

The film hasn’t been cast yet, but Millis said it could go any number of ways.
