Robert Schwentke (upcoming The Time Traveler’s Wife) is set to direct Conspiracy of Fools, a Warner Bros. drama about the Enron scandal based on the Kurt Eichenwald book, reports Variety.
Sheldon Turner wrote the script, and Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson are producing.
DiCaprio had been attached to topline when the project was set up in a seven-figure package, but it is unclear whether his busy schedule will still allow him to star.
The drama revolves around a tax attorney who joins the Houston-based energy company and peels back the layers of greed and fraudulent accounting to expose a financial scheme.
