Ashton Kutcher and Jennifer Jason Leigh will star in the indie sex comedy Spread, which Kutcher’s Katalyst is producing, according to Variety.
The story chronicles the adventures of a serial womanizer (Kutcher); Leigh will play a thwarted lover. Jason Dean Hall wrote the screenplay in his feature film debut.
Scottish helmer David MacKenzie, who is known for such sexually charged dramas as Young Adam, Hallam Foe and Asylum, is directing. Shooting begins later this month in Los Angeles.
Katalyst’s Jason Goldberg and Peter Morgan are producing. Barbarian Films’ Aaron Kaufman executive produces.
