Paul Rudd has signed on and Jason Segel is in negotiations to star in DreamWorks’ comedy I Love You, Man, reports Variety. John Hamburg (Along Came Polly) will direct.
The Hamburg-penned script centers on a man about to get married who actively seeks out a male friend to be his best man for the wedding.
Shooting is scheduled to start in March.
Donald De Line is producing alongside Hamburg. Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock, Bill Johnson and Jeff Clifford executive produce.
Rudd and Segel last teamed up in Judd Apatow’s summer comedy Knocked Up. The pair also recently wrapped another Apatow project, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which Segel wrote.
