Anthony Mackie Reveals Shooting Locations for Captain America: Civil War

With all the talk of Ant-Man this week, it’s easy to forget that even more Marvel Studios projects are on the horizon, and the next one at bat after the microscopic hero is Captain America: Civil War. It’s been reported for some time that production on the third film would set up shop in Atlanta, but when? And where else will they be going?

“We start shooting in April,” Anthony Mackie tells B96 Chicago (via CBM). “So, it’s gonna be a lot of flying and fighting for about five months… and I’m not mad at all.”

When asked (by none other than Kevin Costner) about specific shooting locations, Mackie replied: “Puerto Rico, Berlin, and Atlanta.

Mackie is just one of an ever-growing cast for the upcoming film, which also includes Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Chadwick Boseman in his MCU debut as Black Panther, Daniel Bruhl in a mystery role, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, and potentially Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

Written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and is set for release on May 6, 2016.
