True Story, Shaun the Sheep and Redford’s Latest Added to 2015 Sundance

Directed by Rupert Goold and based on Michael Finkel’s 2006 memoir, True Story is about Finkel discovering that the man responsible for killing his family, Christian Longo, had been captured in Mexico and would only speak to Finkel, who had just been fired from the New York Times for falsifying information in an article. Franco plays Longo while his This is the End co-star Jonah Hill plays Finkel, and it co-stars Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything). 

(Update: Regency Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing the film in select cities on April 10, 2015.)

A Walk in the Woods is adapted from Bill Bryson’s novel by Oscar-winner Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine), it’s a road trip comedy starring Redford as a travel writer who decides to hike the 2000-mile Appalachian Trail accompanied by his high school buddy (played by Nick Nolte), and it co-stars Emma ThompsonNick OffermanKristen Schaal and Mary Steenburgen

They’ve also announced a few films for their Sundance Kids section, which includes Juan Pablo Buscarini’s The Games Maker, starring David Mazouz, Joseph Fiennes, Ed Asner, Megan Charpentier, Tom Cavanagh and Valentina Lodovini,, Richard Stark and Mark Burton’s animated Shaun the Sheep, and the adventure film Operation Arctic from Grethe Bøe-Waal.
