WB’s Pan Shifts Release by One Week, Evading Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man

Just two weeks after the trailer debuted, Warner Bros. has announced the release date for Joe Wright’s upcoming prequel film Pan has shifted from July 17, 2015, where it was going head-to-head against Marvel Studios’ upcoming Ant-Man, to July 24, 2015, where it will face Sony’s Pixels, Fox’s Poltergeist remake, and Universal’s Judd Apatow-directed Trainwreck.

Offering a new take on the origin of the classic characters created by J.M. Barrie, Pan follows the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny-to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.

Warner Bros.’ blockbuster fantasy Pan stars Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Nonso Anozie, Amanda Seyfried, Rooney Mara, Adeel Akhtar and Levi Miller
