Homefront finds major success on streaming
Jason Statham’s 13-year-old action thriller Homefront is outperforming several newer movies on streaming. According to FlixPatrol, the film climbed to No. 1 on Paramount+ Top 10 Movies chart in the United States on June 25, 2026. Directed by Gary Fleder from a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone, Homefront was released on November 27, 2013. The film centers on Phil Broker, a former undercover DEA agent who leaves his career behind after a mission involving a biker gang ends in devastating consequences. Following the loss of his wife, Broker moves to a small town with his nine-year-old daughter, Maddy, hoping to build a quieter life away from the violence.
However, their quieter life is disrupted when Maddy stands up to a classmate who has been bullying her. The incident soon escalates beyond the school grounds and attracts the attention of Morgan Bodine, a local methamphetamine kingpin. At the same time, Broker’s history with the biker gang resurfaces, further complicating the situation as he fights to keep his daughter safe.
Statham leads the cast as Phil Broker, with James Franco starring as Morgan “Gator” Bodine. The ensemble also features Winona Ryder as Sheryl Marie Mott, Kate Bosworth as Cassie Bodine Klum, Rachelle Lefevre as Susan Hetch, and Frank Grillo as Cyrus Hanks, among others.
