Columbia and Overbrook Entertainment will test out Newton’s Law as the next project for Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Variety says that eight-year-old Smith, who starred alongside his father in Sony’s The Pursuit of Happyness, his first feature role, is attached to play a precocious inventor trapped in a science center during a field trip.
New screenwriter Carolyn Brooks wrote the screenplay.
