Variety says that New Line has picked up Mancation, Jared Bush’s comedy pitch, and has set it up with Benderspink.
The story centers on a man who thinks marriage has robbed his younger brother of his manhood and drags him on a testosterone-filled “mancation” to help him get it back.
New Line-based Benderspink’s Chris Bender, JC Spink and Jake Weiner will produce.
Bush and Benderspink recently teamed on the romantic comedy Save the Date, also in development at New Line. He’s also worked on Adrenaline for Radar.
Benderspink is developing the comic book adaptations for Y: The Last Man and Power and Glory and remaking the Spanish franchise Torrente for New Line.
