We’ve got a trio of never-before-seen stills from The Tripper, actor David (“Scream”) Arquette’s directorial debut. Once under the wing of Courtney Solomon’s After Dark Films, Arquette’s frenzied foray into good ol’ fashioned ’80s slasher mayhem (with a slight political bent) is now being independently released. In fact, Arquette has posted a blog on his MySpace page instructing fans on how they can help “Tripper” meet its intended April 20th release date. While there, be sure to check out the film’s official red band trailer, too!
Starring Thomas (The Punisher) Jane, Paul (Blow) Reubens, Jason (Clerks) Mewes, Jamie (Sin City) King, Lucas (Alpha Dog) Haas and Balthazar (Feast) Getty, The Tripper follows a group of free-lovers as they venture into the woods for an outdoor concert. There, they run afoul an axe-wielding maniac whose visage bears a striking resemblance to a certain hippie-hatin’ former President.
This won’t be the last you hear of The Tripper around these parts. More sneak peeks are on the way when ComingSoon.net launches its horror division ShockTillYouDrop.com soon!
