Legendary British ex-soccer player Paul Gascoigne, better known as “Gazza,” is looking to follow his soccer career by making movies, specifically the $2.5 million action-horror film Final Run, to which he has been attached to star.
After being arrested in November for a fight at a club, Gascoigne is looking to follow ex-soccer player Vinny Jones (X-Men: The Last Stand) into the movie business.
Final Run will be directed by Stephen James Bland, who describes it as a character-driven action film “as something akin to ‘Aliens’ meets ‘Black Hawk Down’,” and Gascoigne was interested in it due to his love for vintage British sci-fi films.
The film will start shooting in the U.K. this summer co-starring Ray Winstone’s daughter, Lois Winstone.
