Fox 2000 has picked up Another Bullsh*t Night in Suck City, being written and to be directed by Paul Weitz, says Variety. Michael Costigan is producing.
The project, originally set up at Columbia Pictures, is an adaptation of the award-winning memoir by Nick Flynn, an aspiring author-turned-case worker for the homeless.
As a teenager, Flynn received letters from his estranged father, a delusional conman and self-proclaimed poet. The story follows Nick and his father, whose self-destruction eventually drives him onto the streets and ultimately into the homeless shelter where his son works.
