Brothers: Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage-Led Action Comedy Sets Streaming Release Date

After its release in select theaters on October 1, Brothers — an upcoming action comedy starring Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage — will also be available to stream on Prime Video on October 17. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon MGM Studios has acquired worldwide rights to the Legendary Pictures’ movie.

Brothers will be available to worldwide audiences in more than 240 countries and territories, per THR. Max Barbakow (Palm Springs) directed the feature based on a screenplay written by Macon Blair (I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore) from a story by Etan Coen.

What is Brothers about?

Brolin and Dinklage star as the titular siblings in Brothers, following an ex-con’s (played by Brolin) attempt to live a new life as a law-abiding citizen. However, his insufferable twin brother (Dinklage) will get in his way as they embark on a road trip in order to land a score of a lifetime — an adventure that includes many setbacks, including bullets, cops, their domineering mother, and their severed relationship, which they will try to fix along the way.

Brothers features an A-list cast

Apart from Brolin and Dinklage, the cast members for Brothers also include Oscar-winning actor Brendan Fraser (The Whale), Oscar nominee Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction), Taylour Paige (Zola), Jennifer Landon (Yellowstone), and the late legendary actor M. Emmet Walsh. The upcoming film will also feature one of the actor’s last performances before he passed away on March 19, 2024. He was 88.

In addition to starring, Brolin also produced the movie through his JB Productions, alongside Dinklage and David Ginsberg via Estuary Films. Mad Chance’s Andrew Lazar is also one of the producers, with Trish Stanard serving as the film’s executive producer.

Brothers will hit select theaters on October 1 and will be available for streaming on Prime Video on October 17.
