I Want Your Sex: Olivia Wilde to Star in Gregg Araki’s Thriller

Black Bear has announced that Olivia Wilde will star in director Gregg Araki’s next feature film, I Want Your Sex, a thriller that explores “desire, domination, and fantasy.” Production is set to begin this summer in Los Angeles.

What to Expect in I Want Your Sex?

“How far is too far? When fresh-faced Elliot lands an exciting job for renowned artist, icon and provocateur Erika Tracy (Wilde), his fantasies come true as Erika taps him to become her sexual muse,” the official synopsis reads. “But Elliot soon finds himself out of his depth as Erika takes him on a journey more profound than he ever could have imagined, into a world of sex, obsession, power, betrayal and murder. Featuring outrageous characters and a playful sense of humor, I Want Your Sex will upend expectations in a way that will both shock and delight!”

I Want Your Sex is an original script by Araki and Karley Sciortino (Now Apocalypse). Seth Caplan will produce alongside Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler. Executive producers include John Friedberg and Courtney L. Cunniff.

Black Bear will fully finance I Want Your Sex and introduce the film to international buyers in Cannes next week. CAA Media Finance will be handling U.S. rights.

In 2022, Wilde directed and starred in Don’t Worry Darling, a psychological thriller with Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. Later that year, Wilde appeared in Damien Chazelle’s Babylon. Wilde is attached to Avengelyne, a feature adaptation based on Rob Liefeld and Cathy Christian’s comic book character, and the Christmas comedy Naughty.

Araki is best known for directing 2004’s Mysterious Skin. The award-winning filmmaker has not directed a feature film since 2014’s White Bird in a Blizzard.
