GOAT Gets New Title, Release Date Set for Jordan Peele Produced Movie

GOAT, the movie that Jordan Peele‘s Monkeypaw Productions is set to produce, has set its release date and changed its name, and is now being referred to as Him.

According to a report from Deadline, Him will release on September 19, 2025. The film is written by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, and will be directed by Justin Tipping (Dear White People).

Earlier this year, it was reported that Marlon Wayans would star in the movie as an aging, legendary quarterback, with former college athlete Tyriq Withers set to play his protege who goes to train with him.

Him marks another production credit for Peele’s company

Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions bought a pitch for the psychological thriller from Limetown creators Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie last year. They were subsequently confirmed to be writing the script.

Marlon Wayans has a prosperous career full of drama and comedy performances. He’s best known for Requiem for a Dream, Scary Movie, White Chicks, and last year’s Air. He’s also received plenty of writing credits on comedies such as Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood.

GOAT will be produced by Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, Ian Cooper, and Jamal Watson, with executive producers David Kern and Kate Oh.
