Superman: Legacy Cast Adds Pom Klementieff & Miriam Shor [Update]

Update: James Gunn has taken to Threads to deny that Pom Klementieff will appear in Superman: Legacy. “Despite Pom being one of my favorite actors to work with, this is 100% not true. Not only is Pom not in the movie, but no one has ever even discussed her being in the movie, nor do I have any idea what role she would possibly play,” he wrote.

In a separate post, Gunn also denied that Miriam Shor had been cast in the movie. “I’d like to find a place for Miriam in the DCU, maybe even in Legacy, but she isn’t presently cast in anything,” he wrote.

It should be noted that major trade publications like The Hollywood Reporter are known for providing accurate casting news. However, Gunn himself is known to openly admit when casting reports are correct. You can read this article as it originally appeared below.

Two more actresses have joined the cast of Superman: Legacy — both of whom have worked with director James Gunn already.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Pom Klementieff and Miriam Shor have joined the cast of the upcoming DC Universe film, though their roles are currently being kept under wraps. Both stars have previously worked with Gunn, with Klementieff most prominently playing Mantis in two of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and the Holiday Special. Meanwhile, Shor played the role of Recorder Vim in this year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The titular role in Superman: Legacy is being played by David Corenswet (Pearl, The Politician), while Lois Lane will be played by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan. They’re joined by Hoult, Skyler Gisondo, María Gabriela De Faría, Sara Sampaio, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, and more. The film is set to release on July 11, 2025.

What will the story of Superman: Legacy be about?

“Superman: Legacy tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas,” reads the movie’s official synopsis. “He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
