A Haunting in Venice Streaming, Blu-ray Release Date Revealed for Kenneth Branagh Murder Mystery

Kenneth Branagh’s A Haunting in Venice will begin streaming on Hulu on Halloween.

20th Century Studios’ A Haunting in Venice is coming to Hulu on October 31, 2023. The murder mystery film directed by and starring Branagh will also be available to purchase on other digital retailers (including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fangango/Vudu) on the same day, October 31, 2023.

All three of Branagh’s Hercule Poirot mysteries — 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express, 2022’s Death on the Nile, and 2023’s A Haunting in Venice — will be available on Hulu as a “Poirot trilogy” when the newest entry hits the streaming service. A Haunting in Venice’s digital release also comes with a number of exclusive behind-the-scenes bonus content.

A Haunting in Venice will then be available to purchase on DVD and Blu-ray on November 28, 2023.

What is a Haunting in Venice about?

“A Haunting in Venice is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot,” the official synopsis reads. “Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.”

Along with Branagh, A Haunting in Venice stars Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Michelle Yeoh. Based on Agatha Christie’s 1969 novel Hallowe’en Party, the screenplay was written by Michael Green. Branagh also serves as a producer with Judy Hofflund, Ridley Scott, and Simon Kinberg, while Louise Killin, James Prichard, and Mark Gordon serve as executive producers.

A Haunting in Venice released in United States theaters on September 15, 2023. It received generally positive reviews from critics and grossed $112 million at the worldwide box office with a budget of $60 million.
