Terrifier 2 Is Heading Back to Theaters With Some Surprises

Art the Clown isn’t going to wait for Terrifier 3 to make his return to cinema screens. Terrifier 2 is heading back there first this November.

Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting have announced Terrifier 2 will be coming back to theaters for another run after the indie horror smash racked up an impressive $11 million at the box office last October. The tale of a supernatural serial killer returning from the dead and doing unspeakable things to his victims made the movie a firm favorite last Halloween season, and cemented Art’s place in the pantheon of horror villains.

But it sounds like it won’t just be any old return for Terrifier 2, as director Damien Leone teased something new to tide over fans patiently waiting for the third entry in the gory series to drop in 2024.

Art the Clown Returns With Something Extra in His Bag

Damien Leone wrote about his gratitude to everyone involved in making the movie a success in the press release for the announcement,

“This year has been unlike anything we could have imagined. To see all the love Terrifier 2 has received and the excitement this release has inspired from fans new and old, is truly beyond words. As a thank you to them and the many people who worked tirelessly on this release, we want to bring it back to the big screen where it belongs.”

Leone then sweetened the pot for anyone tempted to head back to theaters to see Terrifier 2 this November,

“And more than that, while fans eagerly await the release of Terrifier 3 next year, we will be including some special surprises because a year is just too long to wait.”

No confirmation on what those surprises are exactly, but the gist is that we’ll get more of Art’s world somehow before the next film.

You can witness Art’s darkly slapstick brutality on the big screen again when Terrifier 2 returns to theaters on November 8, 2023.
