Aaron Taylor-Johnson ‘Didn’t Really Care’ for Roles in Avengers and Godzilla

Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson reveals that he did not really care for a few of his major roles in movies like Godzilla and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Taylor-Johnson is a vastly successful actor who has had roles in famous movies like Kick-Ass, Nocturnal Animals, and Tenet. Two of his most famous roles were in major franchises. In 2014, he appeared in the 2014 Monsterverse movie Godzilla as Lieutenant Ford Brody. The following year, he had a supporting role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Avengers: Age of Ultron as Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver.

In an interview, he talked about how he began to say no to movies. “There was Kick-Ass,” he says, “and then there was Godzilla and Avengers, and all those things lined up for me. But I didn’t really care for them.” He details how reprising his roles in more MonsterVerse and MCU movies, along with roles in other franchises he turned down, would have taken time away from him with his children.
