Killers of the Flower Moon Delay Reportedly ‘Isn’t Likely’

The upcoming epic Western crime drama movie Killers of the Flower Moon reportedly will not get delayed.

“Members of the Osage tribe in the United States are murdered under mysterious circumstances in the 1920s, sparking a major F.B.I. investigation involving J. Edgar Hoover,” reads the synopsis for the Martin Scorsese movie. The movie premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival and received critical acclaim. However, with the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike, some have wondered if the film will be delayed.

Sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that the movie will likely not be pushed back from its current release date. The movie’s two big stars, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, will not be able to promote the film under the current strike. However, the movie has generated solid publicity after its successful Cannes premiere, where Scorsese and the cast walked the red carpet.

When is the Killers of the Flower Moon release date?

The movie is set to release in select theaters on October 6, 2023. It will then have a wide release in the United States on October 20 from Apple TV+.

Killers of the Flower Moon stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow, and Brendan Fraser. It is written by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese and directed by Scorsese. It is produced by Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, Martin Scorsese, and Daniel Lupi.
