With only two weeks before her DC debut, The Flash‘s Sasha Calle has opened up about her first meeting with Man of Steel star Henry Cavill. The actress revealed she met the former Superman actor after wrapping up production on the upcoming Ezra Miller-led superhero movie.
Speaking with EW, Calle expressed how grateful she was for receiving the stamp of approval from Cavill, who praised her performance as Supergirl.
“I met him actually after the movie was done, months later. I gave him a big hug,” She recalled. “You know, it’s Henry Cavill, man! Our Man of Steel. He is kind and very proper, and it was a great experience. I asked him, ‘Did I make you proud, cuz? Does Superman approve?’ And he was like, ‘Absolutely. You did a phenomenal job.’ I think, to me, that meant the world, because it’s Henry Cavill, Man of Steel.”
What to Expect in The Flash Movie?
“Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past,” reads the synopsis. “But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no super heroes to turn to.”
The Flash is directed by IT’s Andy Muschietti and written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey). The film is executive produced by Marianne Jenkins, with Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti set as producers.
Ezra Miller returns as Barry Allen, who they last portrayed in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Joining Miller are Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will reprise their respective versions of Bruce Wayne/Batman for the film.
The Flash is slated to hit the theaters on June 16.
