Fresh off his star turn in the title role of Captain America: The Winter Soldier earlier this year, actor Sebastian Stan is in high demand.
After yesterday’s announcement that he’s joining Matt Damon in Ridley Scott’s The Martian, playing NASA scientist Dr. Chris Beck, Stan has been cast opposite Meryl Streep in Jonathan Demme’s Ricki and the Flash, playing her estranged son Joshua.
Written by Diablo Cody (Juno) and set-up at Sony’s TriStar, the film is already in production, with Kevin Kline and Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer co-starring. It is scheduled for release on June 26, 2015.
One assumes that once those two films are finished shooting, Stan will be back preparing for his co-starring role in Marvel Studios’ Captain America 3, which is scheduled for release in May 2016.
Stan also just finished filming the Duplass Brothers’ latest movie The Bronze.
