Prime Video Schedule Additions: New TV & Movies Arriving This Week

A pair of compelling stories are hitting Prime Video this week.

Starting Thursday, October 6, the streaming service will add Catherine Called Birdy. Directed by Lena Dunham, the story is the adaptation of Karen Cushman’s novel of the same name. Catherine Called Birdy stars Game of Thrones alum Bella Ramsey as Lady Catherine, Andrew Scott as Lord Rollo, Catherine’s father, Billie Piper as Lady Aislinn, Catherine’s mother, Joe Alwyn as George, Catherine’s uncle, Dean-Charles Chapman as Robert, Catherine’s older brother, Ralph Ineson as Golden Tiger, as well as Isis Hainsworth as Aelis, and Mimi M. Khayisa as Lady Berenice Sidebottom. Additionally, Archie Renaux and Russell Brand. The film premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. Catherine Called Birdy is a collaboration between producers Dunham, Jo Wallett, Tim Bevan, and Eric Fellner.

Additionally, Prime Video subscribers can watch Noah starting Sunday, October 9. Darren Aronofsky directed this take on the biblical story of Noah’s Ark as told in the Book of Genesis and the Book of Enoch. The ensemble cast featured Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Anthony Hopkins. The film grossed over  $350 million at the box office even though it was received with mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. Noah was produced by Aronofsky together with Scott Franklin, Mary Parent, and Arnon Milchan.
