In addition to this project, Merced will next be seen in the comedy remake of The Father of the Bride and 20th Century’s reimagined Romeo and Juliet adaptation, Rosaline. Her notable credits are Transformers: The Last Knight, Sicario: Day of the SoldadoDora and the Lost City of Gold, and Let It Snow.

Sony’s Madame Web will be led by Dakota Johnson as the titular Spider-Man character. Created by writer Denny O’Neil and artist John Romita Jr. in 1980, Madame Web is a blind psychic that has become a major player in the world of Spider-Man due to her ties to “The Great Web,” a multiversal construct that ties all “Spider” characters together across the multiverse.
