Blue’s Clues Movie Starring Steve, Joe & Josh Heads to Paramount+

After 25 years since Blue’s Clues had made its debut on Nick Jr., it looks like the iconic Nickelodeon series is having its own Spider-Man: No Way Home moment as they bring together all three Blue’s Clues hosts to star in its first feature film (a direct-to-video feature Blue’s Big Musical Movie was released in 2000) for Paramount+. The project is scheduled to make its debut sometime this year.

In addition, Nick Jr. has also revealed the first official photo from the Blue’s Clues movie, which you can check out below, featuring the trio along with Blue in the big city.

The Blue’s Clues movie titled Blue’s Big City Adventure is a hybrid live-action/animated film, which will follow Josh and Blue as they head to New York City, with the help of Steve and Joe, to audition for a big Broadway musical.

The beloved education preschool television series was created by Traci Paige Johnson, Todd Kessler, and Angela C. Santomero. It features an animated blue-spotted female dog, who leaves clues/paw prints for the host and viewers to solve throughout each episode.

The first four seasons, which aired from 1996-2002, was hosted by Steve Burns as Steve, who’s known for wearing a signature green-striped polo shirt and carrying a Handy Dandy Notebook. He was then succeeded by Donovan Patton who portrayed the role of Joe, who is Steve’s younger and taller brother. Patton only hosted the show’s fifth and sixth seasons from 2004 to 2006.

In 2019, the series was revived by Nickelodeon Animated Studio and has been retitled as Blue’s Clues & You. It is currently hosted by Josh Dela Cruz as Josh, Steve and Joe’s cousin. In celebration of the show’s 25th anniversary last year, Steve, Joe and Josh have appeared in a music video for the song titled “You Can’t Spell Blue Without You.”
