Dwayne Johnson Developing a New Video Game Movie

In a recent interview with Men’s Journal, Red Notice star Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that Seven Bucks Productions is currently developing a new video game movie, which will be revealed sometime this year. Even though he didn’t reveal the name of the video game that the project will be based on, he went on to described it as “one of the biggest, most badass games,” that will be coming to screen.

“I can’t tell you which game in particular we’re doing, but there will be an announcement this year,” Johnson teased. “We’re going to bring one of the biggest, most badass games to the screen—one that I’ve played for years. I’m really excited to bring it to fans around the world. Of course we’re going to do right by our gamer friends—but really we’re just going to make a great movie.”

The untitled project will serve as his third video game movie after starring in the film adaptations of the sci-fi games Doom and Rampage. He is also starred in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Jumanji: The Next Level, which are both set within a video game world but are not based on any real video games.

Johnson will next be seen in a number of high-profile projects including the long-in-development Black Adam movie, the animated film DC League of Super-Pets, Jungle Cruise 2, and two Red Notice sequels.
