The film, produced by New Regency, Bold Films, and Permut Productions, is already set to star Dev Patel, with Craig Gillespie set to direct the film. Gillespie just wrapped up production on the upcoming Pam & Tammy series for Hulu, which is also set to feature Rogen.

It’s currently unclear who Rogen would play, but the report notes that it’s believed he would take on the role of Nick De Noia, a choreographer who helped come up with the Chippendales routines. Fanning is believed to be in talks to play Dorothy Stratten, a Playboy bunny who helped come up with the now-iconic cuffs and collars uniform that Chippendales dances wear.

The Chippendales film will follow the life of Steve Banerjee (Patel), who came from India to Playa del Rey to chase a life of fame and fortune. “Bored with pumping gas in the Mobil station he owned, he found an outlet for his entrepreneurial dreams when he acquired the struggling L.A. rock club Destiny II,” the synopsis reads. “He transformed it with a new name and theme nights that included female mud wrestling and a ‘male exotic dance night for ladies only,’ with the latter catching on.”
