Spirited Away’s upcoming stage play has received two new posters that showcase actresses Kanna Hashimoto and Mone Kamishiraishi as Chihiro.

The posters (via Anime News Network) feature two different looks at the two actresses, with one poster featuring a more floral look and the other highlighting the water and sky. The two actresses will both star as Chihiro in alternating performances, giving audiences a different perspective depending on which they see.

The Spirited Away stage play will run at TOHO’s Imperial Theater from February to March 2022, and then begin touring across the country. Stops in Osaka in April, Fukuoka in May, Sapporo in June, and Nagoya in June and July are planned so far, with Tony and Olivier Award-winning director and the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Honorary Associate Director John Caird writing and directing the production.

“Chihiro’s family is moving to a new house, but when they stop on the way to explore an abandoned village, her parents undergo a mysterious transformation and Chihiro is whisked into a world of fantastic spirits ruled over by the sorceress Yubaba,” reads the official synopsis of the iconic film. “Put to work in a magical bathhouse for spirits and demons, Chihiro must use all her wits to survive in this strange new place, find a way to free her parents and return to the normal world. Overflowing with imaginative creatures and thrilling storytelling, Spirited Away became a worldwide smash hit, and is one of the most critically-acclaimed films of all time.”
