Ray Fisher Addresses Cyborg’s Removal From The Flash Movie

Ray Fisher Open to Playing Cyborg Again, But Needs an Apology First

Actor Ray Fisher has had a very long and very public problem with Warner Bros. and DC ever since the original cut of Justice League was released. Despite that, though, the actor says he wouldn’t turn down the chance to reprise his role as Cyborg.

During a recent panel at MEGACON Orlando over the weekend, Fisher was asked by the No Load Time podcast what, if anything, it would take for him to ever reprise his role as Cyborg in the DC Extended Universe. According to Fisher, there is a lot of things behind the scenes that would have to get worked on before that happens.

“That’s a complicated question. I think, ultimately, how people spend their money determines what happens and what does not happen in this business, and particularly in comic books and DC,” Fisher said (via ComicBook.com). “For me, there’s a lot of stuff behind the scenes. Obviously, I’ve not been shy about talking about all of the things that have occurred over the last year, the back and forth that I’ve had personally and publicly with Warner Bros. Pictures, Walter Hamada, and the rest of the crew over there.”

Although Fisher did reprise his role as Cyborg in the recently released Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Fisher hasn’t seemed to have any talks about anything moving forward. However, he said that he’s “not opposed” to returning as the fan-favorite character, but he needs an apology first.

“For me, I think it all starts with an apology coming from the Warner Bros. side of things. There’s a lot of really gnarly stuff that has gone down, especially publicly,” said Fisher. “What Walter Hamada and Warner Bros. Pictures attempted to do, professionally and personally, during one of the most crucial years for Black people in the history of really humanity, is just unacceptable.”
