Kaley Cuoco in Talks to Lead Action Thriller Pic Role Play

According to Deadline, The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco has entered negotiations for one of the leading roles in the upcoming high concept action thriller movie titled Role Play, which hails from Studiocanal and The Picture Company.

The studio has also already started talking to potential directors that could take on the project. Should the deal pushes through, production is expected to begin sometime next year right after the Golden Globe-nominated actress wraps up filming for the highly-anticipated second season of the acclaimed HBO Max series.

Written by Seth Owen (Morgan) from the original idea of George Heller’s original idea, Role Play centers around a young married couple whose life turns upside down after secrets are revealed about each other’s past. On top of starring, Cuoco is also in talks to produce the action thriller through her Yes Norman Productions banner.

The film will be produced by The Picture Company’s Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona, with Heller set as an executive producer. Studiocanal’s Ron Halpern, Shana Eddy, and Rachel Henochsberg are overseeing the project.

Cuoco gained recognition for starring in CBS’ popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory, which run on-air for 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019. For her leading performance during the first season of The Flight Attendant, Cuoco had earned her first Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series – Musical or Comedy. She will next be seen in the upcoming action-comedy film The Man From Toronto starring alongside Kevin Hart, which is currently set for a Jan 14, 2022 release.
