Variety brings word that Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls, The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday) is set to star in an upcoming Christmas romantic comedy for Netflix. The movie is expected to begin production in November.
In the currently untitled project, Lohan will play a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who gets amnesia after a skiing accident and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
Janeen Damian (A Christmas Waltz) will helm the feature from a script written by Damian, Michael Damian, Jeff Bonnett, and Ron Oliver. Producers include MPCA’s (A Christmas Prince franchise) Brad Krevoy and Riviera Films’ Michael Damian. Amanda Phillips and Eric Jarboe will executive produce.
Lohan’s credits also include the horror movie Among the Shadows, the crime comedy series Sick Note, the mystery thriller I Know Who Killed Me, Robert Rodriguez’s Machete, and the docudrama Chapter 27.
