Exclusive: Solo’s Erin Kellyman on What She Wants For Enfys Nest

While chatting with the Falcon and The Winter Soldier star to discuss her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series, ComingSoon.net looked up to the cosmos with Erin Kellyman to discuss what she’d like to see next for her Solo: A Star Wars story character Enfys Nest.

Initially appearing as an antagonist in the film, it’s later learned that Kellyman’s Enfys and her gang of pirates, the Cloud Riders, were actually a well-intentioned group as they sought to strike back at the various crime syndicates and the Empire itself, but with not much else known about her in the franchise for the time being, the 22-year-old actress is hopeful to explore more of the character’s past in a future Star Wars project.

“Her backstory, I think was very interesting,” Kellyman explained. “We kind of touched on it a little bit in Solo and Jon Kasdan and I had spoken about it as well, which was very helpful in me understanding the character a bit more. But yeah, I think it would be really cool to focus on Enfys Nest’s backstory, I think that’d be so cool. I would love to play her again, that’d be sick.”

Though the film was a box office bomb on release and initially received mixed reception from fans, Solo has gone on to receive a cult following and a large group of fans calling out for a sequel to it, whether a theatrical film or Disney+ series. With the streaming platform currently developing a series centered on Lando Calrissian and the return of Solo‘s Donald Glover or original star Billy Dee Williams currently unknown for the project, there is certainly plenty of room for Enfys to come back in some capacity, be it her own series or as a supporting role in one, should fans truly desire it.

Released in 2018, the film explored the origins of its titular smuggler a decade prior to the events of Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope as he meets business partner and friend Chewbacca and occasional rival and friend Lando Calrissian. Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar) stars in the titular role and leads an ensemble cast including Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Thandie Newton (Westworld), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and Paul Bettany (WandaVision).
