Star Wars: Episode VII to Begin Shoot in Morocco?

It was announced a few weeks ago that production on Star Wars: Episode VII will officially begin filming this May, and now Badass Digest is reporting that they won’t be starting at Pinewood Studios in London but out in the desert of Morocco. The site also notes that production will begin shooting in Morocco on May 14 and will be set up in this location for two weeks.

Directed by J.J. Abrams and written by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan, Star Wars: Episode VII is rumored to include appearances by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in older incarnations of their beloved characters from the original “Star Wars” trilogy. The film will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
