Watched at Home: Top 20 Streaming Films for the Week of November 19

Hey there, fellow couch potatoes! This week, The Digital Entertainment Group’s Top 20 Streaming Films took a massive U-turn with the debut of The New Mutants at No. 1. The critically lambasted and commercially unsuccessful finale to Fox’s X-Men series beat out the likes of Russell Crowe’s Unhinged (No. 2) and After We Collided (No. 3); and knocked Harry Potter: Complete 8-film Collection off its perch all the way down to No. 4. The viral TikTok film Megan is Missing also snuck up to No. 6 in its first week of release while The Dark and the Wicked made its debut at No. 13.

Otherwise, the remaining slots were overtaken with holiday faves like Elf (No. 5), National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (No. 10), Home Alone (No. 12) and The Polar Express (No. 17).

Longtime champ, Yellowstone Seasons 1-3, were knocked out of the Top 5, but still managed to linger on the list at No. 9, No. 14 and No. 18.

The Christmas season will likely continue to throw a number of curveballs, though it is surprising to not see Lord of the Rings or A Christmas Story somewhere in the Top 20. Come on, peeps! Let’s do this for Frodo!!
