In this week’s episode the Editor-in-Chief of ComingSoon.net, Max Evry, drops in to discuss the Joe Dante film Looney Tunes: Back in Action! Starring Brendan Fraser, Daffy Duck (Joe Alaskey), Jenna Elfman, Bugs Bunny (Joe Alaskey), Timothy Dalton and Steve Martin! The film grossed $68.5 million on an $80 million dollar budget, but has since gone on to achieve something of a cult following.

Warner Bros. was hoping to start a revitalized franchise of Looney Tunes media and products with the success of Back in Action. New animated shorts and a Duck Dodgers TV series were commissioned to tie-in with Back in Action. However, due to the film’s financial failure, the Looney Tunes franchise remained off television for nearly two decades. Those shorts are available on HBOMax and include: Hare and Loathing in Las Vegas, Museum Scream, My Generation G..G..Gap, The Whizzard of Ow, and Cock-A-Doodle Duel. They can be found in S31 of the Looney Tunes Series.
