Reitman has revealed that this setback didn’t necessarily affect the film negatively. Hence, it has actually allowed him to spend more time working on the film which has been “extraordinarily valuable.”

“We have a lot of time now.” Reitman said on the status of the upcoming film. “I’ve been spending my days editing Ghostbusters, so that’s where I’ve been.”

He also confirmed that he has already started developing the potential next installment to Afterlife“I can’t tell you anything, but we are working on another installment. We have a little bit more time, and look, as a director, I’ve never had this opportunity to actually take a pause and breathe and look at the movie again.”
