Diamond Select unveils Nightmare Before Christmas SDCC collection!
Diamond Select Toys has continued to roll out looks at the originally planned San Diego Comic-Con International exclusive releases with a new entry into its collection of figures from Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas featuring fan-favorite Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie and Santa Claus! The figures can be viewed in the gallery below alongside other figures from the SDCC collection!
It’s Jack vs. Oogie Boogie for the fate of Santa Claus! The final showdown of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas has been captured in action-figure form, as Jack Skellington takes on that bag of bugs Oogie while Zero and Santa look on. Plus, the packaging features a working black light, so you can turn it on and watch them glow! The figures are designed by Eamon O’Donoghue and sculpted by Cortes Studios, which is limited to 3,000 pieces and run for $120 each.
Everyone loves Tron, but real fans love it on VHS! That’s why this exclusive variant figure is sporting colors based on the old VHS packaging, and comes packaged in a real VHS-style box! The seven-inch figure includes multiple identity discs with energy effects, and will react to a black light. Designed by Eamon O’Donoghue, sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios, the figure is limited to only 3,000 pieces that run for $40 each.
Is the Predator scarier with his mask on, or his mask off? Either way, this unmasked edition is super-detailed and super-creepy! Measuring approximately 10 inches tall, and based on the 1987 movie, this limited edition sculpture of the Predator preparing to strike is a must-have for any Predator fan. Designed by Caesar and sculpted by Alterton, the figure comes packaged in a full-color window box and is limited to 3,000 pieces, which run about $50 per figure.
In a new Gallery Diorama, Godzilla gets all fired up in a new 10-inches tall PVC sculpture depicting Burning Godzilla as he appeared in 1995’s Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, in which the titular monster rises out of a sea of lava. It features detailed sculpting and paint applications and comes packaged in a full-color window box. Designed by Joe Allard, the figure is sculpted by Jorge Santos Souza and is limited to 3,000 pieces, which will run for $70 each.
The Iron Giant is what he chooses to be and when he’s hiding from humans, he chooses to be a Cosmo Burger mascot! Pretending to be a part of a billboard for the fast-food chain, the Iron Giant is now available in a Cosmo Burger display box with a try-me switch on the back of the packaging, to trigger his light-up eyes! This fully articulated nine-inch action figure features a darker paint scheme and a working jaw and is limited to only 3,000 pieces, which run for about $40 per figure.
With SDCC cancelled this year, the figures are expected to go on sale this summer!
