Dominic Cooper Talks Warcraft

Starring opposite Samuel L. Jackson in this week’s Reasonable Doubt, Dominic Cooper spoke today with CraveOnline, dropping a few bits of information about one of his major upcoming projects, Duncan Jones’ Warcraft.

?There?s a very human story at the heart of it,” Cooper says, “because there?s a few of us that are humans in it that are up against tribes and problematic issues that exist in the world that we exist in. It?s happening all over the world at the moment and you see it happening all over. People have savaged their own lands and their own environment and they?re having to find a new environment in which to move into through the hostility of others. If there?s something as poignant as that that we can relate to and that we see unfolding in everyday life, then it will make it a worthwhile story.?

Also set to star Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma), Travis Fimmel (“Vikings”), Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Toby Kebbell (The Counselor), and Rob Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Warcraft is a Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures production scripted by Charles Leavitt and rewritten by Duncan Jones. Slated to begin shooting this month in Vancouver, Warcraft will hit theaters on March 11, 2016.

Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Alex Gartner are producing with Stuart Fenegan, Jillian Share, Brent O’Connor and Blizzard’s Mike Morhaime and Paul Sams serving as executive producers. Chris Metzen, Rob Pardo and Nick Carpenter from Blizzard will co-produce.
