Chris Pratt Likens Jurassic World 3 to Avengers: Endgame
Chris Pratt dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss his upcoming Pixar film Onward, but also dropped a few snippets about the anticipated Jurassic World 3. In fact, the actor likened the enormous project to another certain blockbuster you might have heard of — Avengers: Endgame. You can check out the interview in the player below.
“I’m not allowed to say anything… It’s got everybody,” the actor said. “It’s got pretty much everybody in it. Maybe I just blew it, but I don’t care. All the cast from the original Jurassic Park is coming back. It’s going to feel very much like how Endgame brought everything together for Marvel.”
Pratt also revealed that the production start date on the dinosaur threequel is literally right around the corner.
“I leave tomorrow and I’ll be shooting for a long time. The script is unbelievable. Colin Trevorrow, who wrote and directed Jurassic World is coming back to do this one. I can’t wait… I will shoot on and off until July. It’s a big one. It’s about close to 100 shoot days. It’s a massive movie. It’s a big movie. We’ll be all over the world. The story is really, really engaging. Really cool. It’s gonna be big.”
Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow return to executive produce Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World 3, with Trevorrow once again directing the next chapter in one of the biggest franchises in the history of cinema. Producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley once again partner with Spielberg and Trevorrow in leading the filmmakers for this installment.
The upcoming threequel will be starring returning cast members from the first two Jurassic World films include Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith as well as original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum.
Joining the Jurassic team for the first time is Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim Uprising, The Black Hole), who will craft the Jurassic World 3 screenplay with Trevorrow. They will work off a story by Derek Connolly and Trevorrow, who together co-wrote Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Jurassic World 3 will debut in theaters on June 11, 2021.
