A Quiet Place: Part II teaser attached to Black Christmas screenings
There’s only a few months left until the highly-anticipated A Quiet Place: Part II hits theaters and Paramount Pictures has delivered a surprise for horror fans seeing Blumhouse’s remake of Black Christmas this weekend as they’ve attached an exclusive first teaser running 20 seconds for the post-apocalyptic sequel to the holiday slasher, according to Screen Rant.
Hawthorne College is quieting down for the holidays. One by one, sorority girls on campus are being killed by an unknown stalker. But the killer is about to discover that this generation’s young women aren’t willing to become hapless victims as they mount a fight to the finish.
From director Sophia Takal (Always Shine) from the script she wrote with April Wolfe (Widower), comes a bold new take on the 1974 horror classic starring Imogen Poots (Green Room, The Art of Defense), Aleyse Shannon (Charmed), Brittany O’Grady (Star), Lily Donoghue (The Goldbergs, Jane the Virgin), Caleb Eberhardt (Broadway’s Choir Boy), and Cary Elwes.
Black Christmas is produced by Jason Blum (Halloween, Split) for his Blumhouse Productions, by Ben Cosgrove (The Good German, Rumor Has It) and by Adam Hendricks (Cam, Bloodline, Lucky) for Divide/Conquer. Hendricks’ partners in Divide/Conquer, Greg Gilreath (Cam, Bloodline) and Zac Locke (Adopt-A-Highway, Bloodline), will executive produce.
Djimon Hounsou, whose upcoming credits include Charlie’s Angels, The King’s Man, and the TV series What If…?, recently joined the cast to replace Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta). Emily Blunt is returning for A Quiet Place 2 alongside cast members Noah Jupe (Suburbicon, Wonder) and Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck), with John Krasinski set to write and direct again. Golden Globe nominee Cillian Murphy (Breakfast on Pluto) will also star in the sequel, which has a release date of March 20, 2020.
A Quiet Place opened in theaters in April of 2018 and grossed over $334 million worldwide on a $17 million dollar budget.
A Quiet Place is produced by Michael Bay (Transformers) and his Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (Ouija, The Purge, Texas Chainsaw Massacre), from a spec script by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck which was rewritten by Krasinski.
Black Christmas is in theaters now and A Quiet Place: Part II will hit theaters on March 20, 2020!
