Nia Long to produce and star in Netflix film Fatal Affair
According to Deadline, actress Nia Long has signed up to produce and star in Fatal Affair for Netflix alongside co-stars Omar Epps (Shooter) and Stephen Bishop (Moneyball). This will mark Long’s first gig as a producer. Filming is slated to begin this month in Los Angeles.
Peter Sullivan will direct the film based on a script he co-wrote with Rasheeda Garner about a woman who tries to pick up the pieces of her marriage after an affair with an old friend. Things turn deadly as the old flame turns out to be more dangerous and unstable than she previously thought.
Barry Barnholtz, Brian Nolan and Jeffrey Schenck will produce alongside Long.
Long recently appeared in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged and is set to co-star in The Banker alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie and Nicholas Hoult. She will also star in the film Life in a Year with Cara Delevingne and Jaden Smith.
Epps previously starred with Long in the 1999 crime thriller In Too Deep. He currently stars in a recurring role on the TV series This Is Us.
Bishop starred in the short-lived Bravo series Imposters.
