Eli Roth to produce horror film 10-31 for Orion Pictures
According to Variety, Hostel and Cabin Fever director Eli Roth is set to produce the horror film 10-31 for Orion Pictures. The film hails from Office Uprising screenwriters Ian Shorr and Peter Gamble, who based their script on a short story written by Laurie Ashbroune and Kathy Charles.
Per the report, the films follows “a young woman who takes her niece and nephew trick-or-treating and discovers a note inside a candy wrapper that says there’s a killer loose on her block.”
The film will be produced by Roth and Roger Bimbaum alongside John Zaozinny.
Roth is clearly excited about the project, stating: “Very rarely do you get a script that grabs you by the throat, holds you until the last page and gives you nightmares after.”
He went on to proclaim 10-31 as one of the scariest premises for a horror film that he has ever read. “We are very excited to make this film with Orion, who we have a long relationship with, and who understands what it takes to make a no holds barred scary movie.”
