According to Deadline, Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Kline are set to reunite for the third time in Amblin Partners’ adaptation of the New York Times bestseller The Good House. The duo previously worked together in 1993 on Ivan Reitman’s Dave and again in 1997 on Ang Lee’s The Ice Storm.

The Good House, based on the novel by Ann Leary, follows Hildy Good, a woman who loves her wine and her secrets — including the fact she’s a descendant of the Salem witches. A rekindled romance with an old flame suddenly throws her compartmentalized life out of balance as she becomes intertwined in one person’s reckless behavior.

Emmy nominee Maya Forbes and Emmy winner Wally Wolodarsky will direct from a script they co-wrote.

Emmy winner Jane Rosenthal (The Irishman) will produce alongside Emmy nominee Berry welsh (The Wizard of Lies) and Oscar nominee Aaron Ryder (The Prestige).

Weaver is best known for her roles in prolific films such as Ghostbusters, Alien and its sequel; as well as the comedy Working Girl, the drama Gorillas in the Mist and James Cameron’s blockbuster Avatar. She will return to the world of Ghostbusters in next year’s Ghostbusters 2020 and will also reprise her role as Dr. Grace Augustine in the upcoming Avatar sequels.

Kline is an Oscar winner for his work on the comedy A Fish Called Wanda and has starred in high-profile pics such as Sophie’s Choice, The Big Chill and the recent Beauty and the Beast remake.

The Good House begins production this week in Canada.
