Comedian Theo Von Joins Chris Pratt in Ghost Draft

According to Deadline, the cast for Chris Pratt’s sci-fi thriller Ghost Draft just added another name to its large ensemble – stand-up comedian Theo Von, who joins Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale), Emmy nominee Betty Gilpin (GLOW), Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), and Sam Richardson (Veep).

Ghost Draft follows a man drafted to fight in a future war where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront his past. The movie is directed by Emmy winner Chris McKay (Robot ChickenThe Lego Batman Movie) and written by Zach Dean (Deadfall24 Hours to Live).

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, David S. Goyer, Jules Daly, and Adam Kolbrenner are producing. Matt Grimm will oversee for Skydance. Skydance is financing the project with Paramount on board to distribute. Ghost Draft is expected to begin production this summer.

Per the report, Von is currently in the middle of his Dark Arts Tour, which has sold out around the world. Due to his new commitment, the comedian will postpone some of his dates in order to film his role in Ghost draft. He also hosts a weekly podcast titled “This Past Weekend,” which draws over five million downloads a week.
