A Quiet Place 2 Shooting Announced by John Krasinski

Writer/director John Krasinski has announced the start of A Quiet Place 2 shooting with a post of the first slate Twitter. According to Syracuse.com the Paramount Pictures horror sequel is currently lensing in upstate New York locations near the Buffalo area including Akron and Olcott, and you can see some of the post-apocalyptic settings in the social media posts below, along with the full production slate image in the gallery!

Emily Blunt returns for A Quiet Place 2 alongside cast members Noah Jupe (SuburbiconWonder) and Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck), with John Krasinski set to write and direct again. Golden Globe nominee Cillian Murphy (Breakfast on Pluto) and Brian Tyree Henry (Child’s Play) will also star in the sequel, which has a release date of March 20, 2020.

2018’s A Quiet Place opened in theaters in April of that year and grossed over $334 million worldwide on a $17 million dollar budget.

In the modern horror thriller, a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival. If they hear you, they hunt you. The film has minimal dialogue, because silence is survival.

A Quiet Place is produced by Michael Bay (Transformers) and his Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (OuijaThe PurgeTexas Chainsaw Massacre), from a spec script by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck which was rewritten by Krasinski.
